Dream about Europe without nazism
«We have a dream…», Manifesto-05

We have a Dream.
We have a Dream to see Europe without Nazism…
We have a Dream to have the horrors and tragedies of the XXth century never repeat in Europe of the new century.

We understand, that efforts of separate governments leaders and officials are not enough – back then, in the middle of the XXth century they were only able to appease the monster and try to get out clean. Clean out of blood. It didn’t work. The blood of many innocent victims would be enough to make a river leading to a far-away country.

We understand that efforts of hundreds of civic, human rights and antifascist organizations are not enough, either, to make our dream come true.
Even now, there are European towns (if you want – we can give you the names!), where it is dangerous to go out at night and where fascists and nazi-skins feel themselves at home.

We understand that real neonazism (“neofascism”) includes not only racism, but also a cult of violence and militarism. And totalitarianism, the craving for a mighty and powerful state supposingly to take care of a little person, yet ready to sacrifice one for the sake of “The Majority”, “The Nation”, or “The State”. And we understand as well, that often “Nazism” doesn’t appear all its three faces, but shows separate heads of one monster, and we are not always able to recognize it.

We understand that only if thousands and millions of normal Europeans – civil servants, students, police officers, waiters, bussinesspersons, teachers, blue-collar workers, doctors – will be ready maybe not for the most decisive but the least elementary actions to stop Nazism (to take part in a street action, hang out an antifascist poster in a work place, support an antifascist organization), - only then we’d be able to approach our dream.

We have a dream to learn about one another. To support each other if we need it and come to help.

And we have a Dream – without creating new movements and organizations – to unite those, who have the same Dream (among many others!)

We appeal to representatives of European antifascist groups and organizations and to all and any Europeans – young by age and young at heart – to leave their signatures under this Manifesto as a sign that they are ready for solidary actions. And a sign of that in Europe Nazism will not pass!
